2014 ROSÉ OF PINOT NOIR, SONOMA COAST
The 2014, 50 by 50 Rosé of Pinot Noir is fashioned from the same 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir clones as its still gestating big brother. The 2.049 tons of grapes were harvested in September of 2014 in a growing season punctuated by a warm, dry fall that many say exceeds the much-vaunted 2012 vintage.
The 2013, 50 by 50 Rosé of Pinot Noir is superbly crisp and dry delivering the expected full, lush finish of Pinot Noir fruit that guarantees satisfaction.
40% of the yield will become our 2014 Rosé Pinot Noir following the same methodologies as those for our 2013 vintage. After brief contact with the skins the pink juice was poured into neutral oak barrels.
