Pinot Noir
2015 PINOT NOIR, SONOMA COAST
With a growing season that was a Groundhog Day carbon copy of the previous year the 2015 vintage is once again a French style, medium-bodied wine of great depth and ruby red clarity, exhibiting opening flavors of cherry and blackberry fruit followed by an almost chocolate, smoke tinged, silky finish and a hint of Cinnamon.
The 50 by 50 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2015 takes the baton from the 2014 vintage and stays in the lead.
The wine was aged for 15 months in 70% new French Marchive Barriques and spent 8 months in the bottle before release. 50% / 50% blend of DIjon 667 and Pommard Pinot Noir clones from Rodgers Creek in Sonoma Coast.
